We all have a story.

Mish and Kim are a married couple in Virginia that, on occasion, live alter-ego lives as bloggers and YouTube content creators to share their story in support of raising traumatic brain injury (TBI) awareness.  In August 2012, their lives changed when Kim sustained a severe TBI from a hard fall while playing tennis (yes... tennis).  But with lots of support from his wife Mish, his family, and through hard work, daily management, research, and self discovery, Kim has become a high-functioning TBI survivor.  In 2017, Mish and Kim's blog and YouTube channel were born; its creation came as a means of sharing their ideas and life experiences in hopes of generating more awareness around life with brain injury, as well as its affects on the family dynamic.

Feel free to share the link to this web page to your friends or anyone wanting to know more about their mission.  Also visit their channel on YouTube to get your weekly dose of Mish and Kim (that sounds weird, but let's just go with it).

About Kim

Kim is an Architect, a minimalist, a tennis fanatic, husband to Mish, and a father to a goofy and loving girl.  As a survivor of a traumatic brain injury, he counts his blessings everyday, constantly trying to figuring out ways to manage his hours, his days, his life.  Yes, his brain injury was a bit of bad luck, but it set him on a journey to finding who he really is... and how life with a TBI is not an end, but a beginning.  Whether you are a TBI survivor, or a friend, family, or loved one of one, he hopes sharing his family's story will spread both awareness and knowledge.  His favorite mantra:  "Time and Patience"

About mish

Mish is an IT nerd by trade, a food fanatic, a wife to Kim, and a mom.  She also dabbles with using the creative left side of her brain whenever the opportunity lends itself, and believes that life is too short to not try to make a difference while doing what you love.  With the philosophy that "TBI not only affects one person - it touches many", she created this site and a YouTube channel as an outlet for her and Kim to share their thoughts, perspectives, and stories on a family living with TBI.  Her goal is to spread awareness and love to friends, family members, and anyone else willing to listen.  She also has an unfortunate addiction to anything within the ice cream food group.
